Finances

What is the thing that we are so consumed by? what is the thing that breaks up marriages? any takers... the culprit is Money i think that i recall a song stating "any thing for money lie, die sell my soul". that is sad to me because money is a big struggle for me because i know that it is hard to survive in this world with out it. money provides food, shelter and other means of entertainment.

there are statisticts that is the divorce rate is higher among christians conducted in a study by George Barna.

11% of the adult population is currently divorced.

25% of adults have had at least one divorce during their lifetime.

Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and Agnosticts experience.

George Barna, president and founder of Barna Research Group, commented:
"While it may be alarming to discover that born again Christians are more likely than others to experience a divorce, that pattern has been in place for quite some time. Even more disturbing, perhaps, is that when those individuals experience a divorce many of them feel their community of faith provides rejection rather than support and healing. But the research also raises questions regarding the effectiveness of how churches minister to families. The ultimate responsibility for a marriage belongs to the husband and wife, but the high incidence of divorce within the Christian community challenges the idea that churches provide truly practical and life-changing support for marriages."

it saddens me that divorce among christians is higher than those of non - believers. now my challenge for today is that the reason for divorce is the issue of finance and as christians we are to manage our money well as well as be responsible with our money and set an example for our children.

if you are questioning on how can i get out of this debt? look at this verse and gain strength that we as christians can do all things all things through Christ who strengthens me.

"Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:11 - 13, 19"
